Hello again, faithful readers. Well, readers who manage to bear with my erratic updates, whether nowadays or in the past, should I say.

As has become evident, I’m slacking when it comes to updating this blog. I must admit that not having proper internet access except when I park my butt on the cold stairs for one hour or two has been a hindranc: sure, I could prepare my posts in advance, so that I wouldn’t have to type them there… but these past two weeks, I’ve actually not turned the PC on save for going in the aforementioned staircase. (I reassure you, I haven’t slacked in other areas of my life: those hours far from the PC have been employed to reading and working on semantics, linguistics and reading classic anglo-saxon novels.) But an update was in order no matter what, if only for me to not fall back into bad habits of conveniently ignoring the blog. Since I’ve arrived at the office much, much earlier than usual, I guess I can use my morning-coffee-before-work-break to write a little.

Weight loss has been stalling. Or I’ve been maintaining, depending on how you want to look at it, at around 131-132 lbs. Personnally, I’m okay with it, because I know that this ‘plateau’ is due to me not doing everything I could nor should. No worries, I’m getting back on track. It’s just that the move, having to deal with the floor replacement in my former room, and various plans cancelled then not cancelled then cancelled again etc., have thrown me out of the loop more than I had realized at first. Bad habits do come back fast if I’m not careful. Fortunately, I’m more careful now than two years ago, so it helps, even if I’m far from being perfect.

Also, I think my cardio exercise for the week is now covered. I’ve done the test this morning,it takes me approximatively 35 minutes to bike from home to work. Same to go back home. That’s not too shabby for something I’ll be doing three times a week, right? Besides, I was right, it does take me less time than if I were to take the streetcar and bus and my feet. And I never spit on ten more minutes at home for me to enjoy my breakfast, answer a few e-mails, read one more chapter or, hey, even apply on mascara. (Which makes me think of another post that I should write. Maybe I can come earlier to work tomorrow too, and write it there?)

And a side note: I’m a little miffed, because I’ve noticed some spammers have been spoofing my e-mail adresse (the one I use on this blog, which is also the one I use to comment on other weight loss-related blogs) to send their crap. So this may explain why my comments always fall into the spam directory when I write on Lose Weight With Me, ChickenGirl and others. I’m sorry for that, I have no idea about what I could do, except use another e-mail adress (but I’m tired of making new addys, drats). I’ll take every other suggestion to see if there’s another solution.

Anyway, that’s all for now regarding the ‘news’ in my life. Now’s to hope I’ll be able to update more regularly again soon.

    Great to see you back and it’s so cool the bike riding is working out. Combining exercise and transportation and saving money & helping the environment? Thats 4 great things for every trip.

    It looks like my internet is finally back, too. Unfortunately the past few days have been busy for me, so no new posts yet, but maybe I can whip one tonight.
