That’s it–there it is. Back as I had half-expected it. Back, as I suspected it would be sometime in January. The motivation and commitment are renewed, and I feel ready to tackle on this new year by doing things properly when it comes to eating and exercising.
It’s not a New Year resolution. These I don’t like to take, because they call for giving up as soon as February hits, like 99% of people do. I don’t need the magic number of January 1st to be aware of my weight problems and of the need to do something to solve them. I don’t need a specific date to be committed to eating better and exercising more often. I’m glad enough as it is that I haven’t regained all the weight (although I regained 3 kgs in the past two months… Blah -_-), and I’m glad to still acknowledge that I’m the only one to be able to do something to help myself.
I don’t expect things to be surprisingly good from the start, I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot by wanting to do too much and too perfect from the start, since this is the best way for me to blow it up. However, I do expect my own views on the matter to become more positive again. The fact that all this Christmas and New Year eating has left me sort of disgusted with food right now might help.
Anyway, maybe 2006 will see me achieve my “normal” weight–and if it doesn’t, 2007 will. I prefer slow and definitive to fast and doomed to fail.

I hope for both of us we make some real progress (and changes) in 2006. I really need to make 2006 a positive year.

Hi Beverly, and thanks for the kind words
Really, it was time I started to update again, if only to keep my fingers busy and not in the pot of Nutella
