I’m really not sure how often I’ll be able to write posts again in here, but it was high time I came back anyway to dust off the place, and better do it now, while I still have the time and energy.

Regardless of weight loss things, there’s one major word for me in the next two years: college. Yup. I’m going back to college. In fact, I’m already there. I’m going back to study English and, later on, prepare the national teaching exam–finally, can we hope for posts without any mistake on this blog? The downside to this is that, combined to my job, it’ll be a lot to do. I know I can do it, but it’ll be a lot no matter what. This is the reason why I’m not sure I can stay committed to a blog as often as I used to, not to mention the periods during which I lose focus and don’t care about blogging (it doesn’t happen here only, mind you; my other blogs all suffered from this since last December or so).

Where does that put me? If time-wise I probably won’t be able to update too often, I’m nevertheless confident that the “freshman 15″ won’t be a problem for me. Actually, it’ll be the contrary. I’ve finally understood what works for me. I’ve finally realized that my main and most dangerous triggers are boredom and the feeling of “not doing something worthy with my life”. Which was the case before, and which led me to falling back regularly into bad habits.

Well, no more of this. I don’t have any money to buy junk food, ranging from cookies and doughnuts to stuff from greasy joints and fast-food restaurants — the McDonald’s next door doesn’t even tempt me anyway. Sure, healthy foods will always, for a good deal of them, cost more, but here junk is even more expensive. The choice was quickly done. I’ll also be doing everything on foot. And do it often. I’ll also take part in cane-fencing classes (it looks FUN!) at the campus gym. And be busy. Extremely busy. Trust me, when I’m deep to the nose in school books, I don’t eat, it takes too much time and focus off my studying. Cherry on top, the campus restaurants offer balanced meals at competitive prices, which is a GOOD thing, too. I won’t be starving myself, and I won’t have room for sweets: isn’t that a good plan?

So yeah. Keeping myself busy works so well. I’m one of these people who need to be kept busy at all times, my brain functions better in this case anyway, and I’m more productive overall. If I can end up at a normal weight, it’ll be perfect.

Uh, okay. What would be really perfect would be that AND succeeding in my studies. But this will be a matter to worry about later on, won’t it.

I’m glad to hear from you and that you are doing well.

I too eat most when I’m bored and probably depressed. I used to not eat when I was depressed but as I’ve gotten older I do.

I hope it all goes well and I’m glad I kept you on my bloglines account.

Robin, thanks for commenting! I had been away for sooo long from blog-related things that I’m afraid the link to your blog feed didn’t work for me anymore… and there was no webpage to be reached for me to find where it had moved. Now I’m glad I’ve checked the link on your name. I definitely to add it back to my feeds! :)

I couldn’t lose the weight till I took in more protein and nailed down the right kind of exercise. I wasn’t using the right training protocol, which is very important too. I got that from workout protocol.
