I am usually a very quiet person, both in my behavior and in my occupations. I can keep sitting on a chair, typing on the keyboard, drawing or reading a book, for hours and hours. While I’m not a big fan of TV, thus not spending much time on the couch, I’m a big fan of my computer, and let’s admit that spending this time reading articles on the web, while pretty much interesting and instructive, isn’t making my body move. I am sort of a “busy” person - not an “active” one.

It wasn’t the first time that I was reading about how it is now said that ideally, one should walk 10,000 steps every day for cardiovascular health - more that that, actually, for weight loss. Of course, in my great wisdom, I chuckled a bit at all of this, thinking that evidently, I was walking more than 10,000 steps a day, and that probably most people were doing it as well. Right, genius. I was up for quite a surprise.

This is likely something everyone has already experienced. Some days, I feel like a power-machine, ending up a weight-lifting session with the thought that the next day I could easily up the weights a little. The next day comes, and suddenly it seems like lifting anything is just too much, and that I feel and am terribly week.
