Is this something common in each of us, or something that seems to happen to me because I’m a very cyclic person, and usually walk my way through various interests one after the other only, and never all at the same time? It gets hard to tell, as it probably could be mistaken for disappointment and discouragement, but somewhat I think it is not the case.

There have been a few moments when I wondered if, in a way, starting this blog was a valid idea: not because I don’t have anything to say or am too shy to say it, but because I know I am certainly not the one with the worst hardships behind me when it comes to weightloss. Thus, does this allow me to state my opinions all the same? Or should I just, as some say, “suck it up” and not open my virtual mouth, for “not being able to understand”?

Being overweight is unfortunately a situation that isn’t as easy to solve as it can seem from an external point of view. “You just have to eat better” or “you just have to undergo a diet” sound very appealing and very evident, yet I keep on thinking (and many others do think the same, from what I could read in various books, blogs and websites) that to really start on seriously losing weight, something in you needs to “click”.

For some time, I had been pondering starting to write in a blog like this one. I simply wasn’t sure whether it would be worth it or not. Finally, after much thinking, I decided that it was.
