Eek. I can’t believe it’s been like three weeks since I posted my last entry here. Guess you can say I’ve been busy…

So yes, I’ve been preparing a good old batch of outlines and plot-notes for NaNoWriMo, because I really want to take part in it this year. I’m not above the “amateur” writing, in fact it’d rather be the contrary, and I know this is going to be fun AND allowing me to learn a few trick along the road. I need t owrite more and faster, if I want to make a career in it someday.

The weight loss schtick, on the other hand, hasn’t been going that well. I haven’t been bingeing or whatever, thanks goodness, but it’s like 10 days I’m chaining illness over illness, and I haven’t exercised since then. Frustrating. When it’s not the runny nose, it’s the sore throat and voice being completely gone, with additional problems to simply breathe (there was a point when I wondered if my parents, at whom I stayed this past week-end, would find me dead in my bed in the morning because air just wouldn’t have passed through anymore. Well, okay, not that much, but it was freaky all the same). And now comes the “stomach bug”, unfortunately not the one that prevents me from eating, no, the other one. Feh. I do hope that by this week-end, at least, I can get my aerobics DVDs out, even if only for half a hour, because I seriously need to get back into gear.

On the bright side of things, I didn’t exercise, but I walked regularly. My theory is that, when being sick, if I’m not completely down in bed and unable to get up, I should at least walk. I prefer twenty minutes outside with warm clothes on me, rather than macerate all day long in the tainted air of a “sick room”. I dragged my mother along the way, since she needs the exercise as well, and am still trying to convince her that the more she walks—starting slowly and with little doses, of course—the less joint problems she’ll have. I’m not making anything up here, the doctors say it too, after all.

Note for further use (yes, again): sick + being passenger in the car + too rich foods = stomach not keeping the stuff in. My parents are starting to wonder if they’re poisoning me: everytime I go back to my hometown, I end up vomiting at some point *LOL* I’d rather blame the car, though. It has always been a hard time for me, but since I’ve had my driving license (and no problems to drive whatsoever), it’s like the “symptoms” have been magnified in some way. Go fig. I want my car.

Alright, now enough with the slly updates. More reflexions coming up soon, since my brain is functioning again.

I’ve missed you too! I’m so sorry you’ve been sick, and I hope you’re feeling much better soon. Just remember not to let lingering illnesses become an excuse to slack off on your health and exercise. You body needs you to take care of it even more right now, so please be kind to it, and keep it moving!

NaNoWriMo sounds quite interesting, I’ve never heard of it before. How exciting! I don’t think you can never learn too much about your chosen craft, and this sounds like a perfect opportunity! Keep us posted on how it’s going, k?

Thanks, both of you :) It’s hard at times to write very regularly in all my blogs, but one thing is sure, I should keep this one updated more often.

Beverly, you’re really right. I’ve let myself fall into this trap once, a few years ago, after 3 weeks of being sick and then starting my first full-time job ever right after. i completely stopped going to the gym, and no kidding, but this lasted like… 3 years. Gah. I’m tempted to start again this afternoon, in fact, with one of the WATP DVDs; I’m not totally great, but it’s rainy outside and I don’t want to go walk and get soaked if I’ve been sick, this would be stupid. I guess I’ll see quickly enough if the “fast-paced walk” in my living-room is still too much or not.

Goodness, I was wondering why the comments count here was so out of whack (no way there are 340 comments on this blog!), but I’ve just realized this is become all the crappy spam that fortunately gets caught by spam karma. Yuck.

As for NaNoWriMo, before I forget, I’m not going update about it here a lot, as I want to keep the place “focuses”, BUT if you’re interested, I have a little blog about it on wordpress.com (http://yzabel.wordpress.com). I don’t update it daily, and it probably won’t be updated much during the rest of the year, yet I felt it better to give it its little place all the same. See, when I say I have too many blogs already!
