I’m deep into another cycle currently, the one of writing, and it’s been like a drug so far, albeit a good drug: getting published (more specifically, getting the novel I’m working on published) is one of my oldest and biggest goals in life, and when I’m giving myself the tools and chances to progress in that, as per opposition to spend whole evenings gaming or watching TV, i’m actually happy. Problem is… yes, as usual: exercising.

There’s no defined inspiration for today’s set of thoughts, as this is a piece of advice i’ve seen in many places now. And true, “putting my fork down” has been a tremendous help for me so far, even though it still feels much unnatural depending on the days and moments. What is this “miracle method”? Not a miracle in any way… simply a nifty tip that can nicely and elegantly prevent us from gobbling down our food.

There’s this ad currently running on French TV channels, for Amora’s “light products”. It features a kid eating some kind of big burger and about to put ketchup on it, when his mother gets out some Amora super-duper light-fat ketchup and, arguing that there’s twice less fat in it… whips twice more of the awful thing on the burger. The ad ends by showing us that all the family is obese, save for the slim boy. Slim because of Amora’s light sauces, of course.
